Men’s Soccer
The University of Missouri–St. Louis Tritons kept their unbeaten record in tact after two late goals from junior DJ Bednar and freshman Nick Werner in a 2-1 win at Illinois Springfield on Sunday, while junior Chris Pearson scored the lone UMSL goal on Friday in a 1-0 win at Southern Indiana. The two wins keep the Tritons atop the GLVC standings, where they sit in a tie for first place with Quincy. UMSL (5-0-1, 4-0 GLVC) returns home for GLVC games this weekend, hosting Rockhurst and William Jewell, Friday and Sunday, respectively.

Women’s Soccer
UMSL recorded a perfect weekend after defeating both Sothern Indiana (3-0) and Illinois Springfield (2-0) in its first GLVC road tests of the season. Juniors Laura Hurlbut, Jen Eaton, and Mary Hoffmann paced the Triton offense against Southern Indiana, while Hurlbut and junior Kali Thomas recorded goals to lead the Tritons to a victory Sunday completing a weekend sweep. Junior goalkeeper Megan Ohm recorded shutouts in both games, finishing the weekend with seven saves. The wins moved UMSL into a five-way tie for fifth place in the GLVC standings. The Tritons (5-1, 3-1 GLVC) return home to host Rockhurst and William Jewell, Friday and Sunday, respectively.

Volleyball
After falling to Missouri S&T (25-29, 25-26, 12-25, 25-22) and Lewis (25-18, 25-18, 25-15), the Tritons bounced back and defeated Wisconsin-Parkside Sunday (25-25, 20-25, 25-21, 24-26, 15-13). Junior setter Lindsay Meyer recorded a career-best 53 assists and added 20 digs to help UMSL defeat the Rangers, while junior Carly Ochs paced the offense with 13 kills. Senior Emily Bragaw recorded 24 digs. The Tritons (6-3, 3-1 GLVC) are back home this weekend, hosting Truman State and Quincy, Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Men’s Tennis
UMSL participated in the ITA Midwest Regionals in Indianapolis, Ind., last weekend. Senior Harry Heyburn advanced to round 16 in singles, after upsetting No. 10 Mate Srdanovic of Lewis, while senior Nils Mueggenburg and freshman Alberto Maza Martin advanced to the doubles semifinals.

Men’s Golf
The Tritons finished second at the Brickyard Crossing held Sept. 15-16 in Indianapolis, Ind. Junior Anthony Cope was the Tritons top finisher, finishing in a six-way tie for runner-up honors, shooting a career-best 143. UMSL returns to the course October 29-30 at the Midwest Regional in Chicago, Ill.
