University of Missouri–St. Louis junior Hannah Perryman was named Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week in the sport of softball.
Perryman, a criminology and criminal justice major, threw back-to-back perfect games last week in two wins, 8-0 and 1-0, against Lake Superior State University and conference foe McKendree University, respectively. In the Lake Superior State win, she struck out all 15 batters faced before striking out another 13 in the league opener against McKendree. The win over McKendree was the junior’s 23rd career shutout, which ties the Triton school record. She now has three career perfect games, which ties the second most in NCAA DII history and has six career no-hitters, which ties the fourth most in NCAA DII history.
This is the Streamwood, Illinois, native’s first weekly honor this season and 10th of her career, having last earned the accolade April 22, 2014.
