UMSL Tritons baseball (18-9, 13-9 GLVC) won three out of four games against GLVC leader and No. 29 ranked William Jewell last weekend.

Softball
No. 3 ranked University of Missouri–St. Louis swept doubleheaders from Missouri S&T and Drury on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, running its win streak to a program-best 17 games. Junior Hannah Perryman allowed just one hit in 13 innings pitched and recorded her third perfect game this season on Sunday, tying an NCAA DII single season record. It was also her fourth career perfect game, which ties the NCAA DII career record. Additionally, Perryman recorded her 1,000th career strikeout against Drury and finished the weekend with 27 strikeouts. Offensively, senior Jena Boudreau tallied four hits, while batting a team-best .571. Sophomore Sara Kern belted out three home runs against Drury, including two in the second contest. UMSL is now up to 89 long balls on the season, the 13th best in NCAA DII single season history. The UMSL Tritons (35-3, 20-2) will put their win streak on line Saturday when they travel to No. 10 ranked Indianapolis. UMSL also visits Saint Joseph’s on Sunday.

Baseball
UMSL won three out of four games against Great Lakes Valley Conference leader and No. 29 ranked William Jewell last weekend. Junior Dominic Orlando led the offense with seven hits, including two doubles and a home run, while batting .533 and finished with a pair of three-hit games. Senior Zach Sedlacek tossed the game one victory, striking out a career-high 11. The Tritons (18-9, 13-9 GLVC) host Maryville on Tuesday in a doubleheader before a four-game series at Rockhurst Saturday and Sunday.

Men’s Tennis
UMSL dropped a 7-2 decision at No. 15 ranked Drury on Friday, but bounced back with a 7-2 win at Rockhurst on Saturday to secure the No. 2 West Division seed in this weekend’s GLVC Tournament. Senior Tim McLarty went 4-0, winning both singles and both doubles matches. UMSL (9-7, 4-1 GLVC) will meet No. 3 East Division Lewis on Friday in quarterfinal round action of the GLVC Tournament, being held in Kansas City.

Women’s Tennis
UMSL lost a 7-2 decision at No. 20 Drury on Friday, but came back to secure a 5-4 win at Rockhurst on Saturday to earn a second place finish in the GLVC West Division. Juniors Renee Verboven and Natalia Carvalhais both went 2-0 in singles, while both helped their respective doubles teams to wins against Rockhurst to finish 3-1 on the week. UMSL (9-6, 5-1 GLVC) opens GLVC Tournament play on Friday as the No. 2 West Division seed and will face No. 3 East Division Bellarmine on Friday in quarterfinal round action. This year’s tournament is being played in Kansas City.

Men’s Golf
UMSL is tied for first place in the 31-team field at The Midwest Regional at Purgatory. The Tritons enter today’s final round tied with Northwood, while just four strokes separate the top eight teams. Junior Colby Yates shot a team-best 70 and is tied for fifth place, two strokes out of first. Following today’s play, UMSL will compete in the GLVC Championships Sunday-Tuesday of next week in Carmel, Ind.

Women’s Golf
UMSL enters the final round of its Triton Invitational on Monday in third place out of 12 teams. Freshman Alexa Capesius is tied for third individually after an opening round of 78.
