Softball
UMSL went 2-2 on the road last week. The Tritons dropped two at Illinois Springfield on Friday before bouncing back to sweep Lewis on Sunday, outhitting the Flyers, 24-13. Senior Jennah Perryman recorded six hits in the four games, including three doubles and three home runs. She also finished with seven RBI and scored four runs. UMSL (18-14, 5-5 Great Lakes Valley Conference) will host Truman State on Friday and Quincy on Saturday.

Baseball
The Tritons lost a midweek single nonconference game against Southern Indiana on Wednesday before opening GLVC play at Drury Saturday and Sunday, where they split the series, 2-2. Senior Alex Oltmann went 1-0 on the mound with a save, pitching 6.2 scoreless innings. Offensively, redshirt sophomore Derrick Freeman had six hits, including a grand slam, and finished with four RBI and four runs. Freshman AJ Davis also had six hits. UMSL (10-12) will host Illinois Springfield on Wednesday in a single game before welcoming William Jewell on Friday and Saturday in a four-game GLVC series.

Women’s Tennis
UMSL had a six-game win streak snapped at Bellarmine on Sunday. The Tritons (7-2) host Southern Indiana on Wednesday and open GLVC play on Saturday at home against Maryville before closing out the week at Bellarmine on Sunday. Junior Salome Bleuler and sophomore Marina Prediger each ran their singles win streaks to seven matches. UMSL (7-3) will host Drury on Saturday.

Men’s Tennis
The Tritons picked up a 9-0 win at Bellarmine on Sunday, taking all six singles matches in straight sets. UMSL (6-2) will host Southern Indiana at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Women’s Golf
Senior Stefaniya Ivanova led UMSL with a 78 at the rain-shortened Otter Invitational March 19 and 20. Due to unplayable course conditions caused by steady light rain throughout the day, the second round was canceled. Even though a few teams finished, including the Tritons, none of the scores from the second round counted. UMSL finished tied for 15th place in the 20-team field by shooting a 318. The Tritons return to the links on April 2-3 at the Argonaut Invitational in Pensacola, Florida.
