The men's golf team finished first in the stroke play portion of the GLVC Championships, claiming the top seed for Tuesday's match play.

Sophomore Reilly Ahearn shot a career-low 212 over three rounds of stroke play in the GLVC Championships on Sunday and Monday, tying for third as an individual and helping UMSL secure the top seed for Tuesday’s match play portion of the championships.

Men’s Golf
The 16th-ranked Tritons have earned the top seed in Tuesday’s Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships match play portion after finishing first in 54-hole stroke play. UMSL posted a team score of 865 (293-286-286) and finished one stroke ahead of Indianapolis (296-287-283) in the 13-team field. The Tritons will face No. 4 seed Maryville in Tuesday’s semifinal at 8 a.m., while Indianapolis will face No. 3 seed Bellarmine. The winners of the two semifinals will meet in the afternoon for the GLVC team title. UMSL is in match play for the sixth straight year. Individually, sophomore Reilly Ahearn earned All-GLVC honors for his top-five finish, tying for third with a career-low 212 (73-69-70).

Softball
UMSL completed its home schedule with four wins, sweeping Rockhurst and William Jewell. Redshirt junior Morgan Hill tallied eight hits and five RBI, while junior Andee Tiffee recorded seven hits and seven RBI and went 2-0 in the circle. The Tritons (25-17, 14-6 GLVC) conclude the regular season this weekend with a trip to Missouri S&T on Saturday and Drury on Sunday.

Baseball
UMSL went 2-3 in its final week of home games, capped off by taking two of three against Drury in a GLVC series. For the week, junior Jackson Dvorak recorded eight hits, including two doubles, two home runs and seven RBI, while junior Jarrett O’Brien also had eight hits and drew the game-winning walk in the finale against Drury. Redshirt junior Koltyn Schilly tallied seven hits, scored eight runs and stole three bases. The Tritons (9-31, 8-19 GLVC) play a doubleheader at Illinois Springfield on Tuesday before a three-game GLVC series at Southern Indiana this weekend.

Men’s Tennis
UMSL defeated Illinois Springfield 4-2 in the quarterfinals of the GLVC Tournament but lost a 4-0 decision to No. 24 Indianapolis in the semifinals. The Tritons (14-6) will now wait and see if they earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament when the field is announced May 8.

Women’s Tennis
UMSL posted a 4-2 victory over Lewis in the GLVC Tournament quarterfinals but suffered a 4-2 loss to Bellarmine in the semifinals. The Tritons end the season with a 13-6 record.
