New incentive program aims to encourage more people to get vaccinated against COVID-19
The University of Missouri–St. Louis is encouraging all members of the campus community to become fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including receiving ongoing boosters as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration.
In addition to the individual and public health benefits of vaccination, individuals who receive COVID-19 shots have a chance to win monetary rewards through the Triton Vaccine Incentive Program. Students enrolled for the fall semester and active faculty and staff members who provide a record of their COVID-19 vaccination information will be entered into a series of drawings for a chance win one of 50 $500 Visa gift cards.
The first drawing will take place on Sept. 6 with additional drawings on Sept. 20, Oct. 4, Oct. 18 and Nov. 1. Each drawing will select 10 gift-card winners. The last day to upload a vaccination record to be eligible for any of the drawings is Oct. 31.
