The University of Missouri–St. Louis enjoyed an eventful start to the fall semester last week, featuring plenty of opportunities for new and returning students to connect with each other across campus.

UMSL students, faculty and staff helped students move into Oak Hall, a six-story residential hall, during Move-In Day ahead of the start of the fall semester.

UMSL students make their way to and from classes on the first day of the fall semester on Aug. 19. Construction projects on the quad have created detours and new routes for the students to negotiate.
To celebrate the first week of classes, UMSL’s Office of Student Involvement hosted Eagle Eye Traveling Petting Zoo on the lawn outside of the Recreation and Wellness Center for the Pet The Pets event.
Students had the opportunity to interact with Dwarf Nigerian goats, Angora rabbits, ducks, chickens, llamas, alpacas and more.
African Sulcata tortoises were just one of the animals students were able to interact with.
