Men’s Soccer
The University of Missouri–St. Louis men’s soccer team clinched its first postseason appearance since 2021 with a 3-1 victory over Truman State in Sunday’s regular-season finale at Don Dallas Soccer Field. Devin Livingstone and JT Goldstein each scored in the second half after the Tritons and Bulldogs played to a 1-1 draw through the first 45 minutes. Gibson Hunt had UMSL’s goal in the first half. The Tritons outshot Truman State 21-11 with a 9-5 advantage in shots on goal. Goalkeeper Austin Reis made four saves in the victory. UMSL will be seeded sixth and will face No. 3 seed McKendree next Sunday in the first round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament. The Tritons (7-4-6, 5-4-6 GLVC) will be riding a four-match winning streak when they take the field against the Bearcats. The streak included a 2-0 victory over William Jewell on Friday night. UMSL got goals from Mario Garcia and Jon Campbell in win, and Reis made six saves to secure his third shutout of the season.

Women’s Soccer
The Tritons continued their roll as they wrapped up the regular season with shutout victories over William Jewell (4-0) on Friday and Truman State (3-0) on Sunday at Don Dallas Soccer Field. They have now won eight straight matches, including five consecutive shutouts by goalkeeper Mary Kate Neal. She did not record a save in blanking the Cardinals and needed only two saves to shut out the Bulldogs as UMSL dominated possession in both games. The Tritons outshot William Jewell and Truman State by a combined 55-4, including 29-2 in shots on goal. Josie Maddox, Kamryn Ealey, Jada Holloman and Adelaide Green each scored on Friday against the Cardinals, and Aubree Wallace, Taylor Martin and Ealey tallied goals on Sunday against the Bulldogs. UMSL (12-3-2, 9-3-2 GLVC) earned the No. 5 seed in next week’s GLVC Tournament and will take on No. 4 seed Rockhurst on the road in Sunday’s quarterfinal round.

Volleyball
No. 19 UMSL snapped a three-match losing skid and ran its home-match winning streak to 25 with back-to-back three-set victories over Truman State and Upper Iowa over the weekend at the Mark Twain Athletic Center. The Tritons beat the Bulldogs 25-22, 25-20, 25-15 on Friday and followed it up with a 25-17, 25-15, 25-22 win over the Peacocks on Saturday. Outside hitter Addison Voorhees led UMSL’s attack, registering a team-high 12 kills in both matches. Iyannah Jackson and Hannah Copeland had 20 and 18 kills, respectively, on the weekend. Setter Caitlin Bishop averaged 39 assists in the two wins, and Rylee Edson paced the Tritons with 15 digs against Truman State while Trysta Foster had a team-high 10 digs against Upper Iowa. UMSL will embark on its final road trip of the regular season, visiting No. 18 Quincy on Friday and Illinois Springfield on Saturday.

Men’s and Women’s Swimming
UMSL’s swimming teams swept dual meets against Truman State in their home opener on Saturday at the Mark Twain Athletic Center. The men won their dual 197.5-64.5 after winning 12 individual events and both relays while the women picked up a 160-101 victory with nine individual victories and two relay wins. Hendrik Bechtel and Conley Savage each won three events on the men’s side with Bechtel picking up victories in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1 minute, 42.63 seconds, the 500 freestyle in 4:50.17 and the 1,000 freestyle in 9:29.95. Savage, meanwhile, won the 100-yard butterfly in 50.74 seconds and the 200 butterfly in 1:53.09, and he added a win in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:55.31. Justice Beard was a three-time winner on the women’s side, finishing first in the 200 freestyle in in 1:56.31, the 500 freestyle in 5:08.84 and the 1,000 freestyle in 10:36.94. Ella Lantz won both the 100 and 200-yard backstrokes in 59.84 and 2:11.96, respectively, and also contributed to UMSL wins in both the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay. The Tritons will next race in the IU Indy House of Champions Nov. 21-23 in Indianapolis.
