Musicians at the University of Missouri–St. Louis chuckle as Assistant Teaching Professor David Wacyk takes the stage dressed up as Marty McFly, Michael J. Fox‘s famous character from the classic 1985 movie “Back to the Future,” to conduct the UMSL Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble‘s end-of-semester concert, “UMSL at the Movies,” on May 13 in the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center.
The evening featured music from movies such as “Star Wars,” “The Lord of the Rings,” “Interstellar” and “How to Train Your Dragon,” in addition to the familiar score from “Back to the Future.” There were also concerto performances showing Young Artist Competition winners Arissa Ford and Hayden Baker.
