"Fractured Realities," an exhibit of work by Michigan-based artist Donna Childree Gotlib, will be on display Jan. 26 to Feb. 16 in Gallery Visio at UMSL.

For the exhibit “Fractured Realities,” Michigan-based artist Donna Childree Gotlib drew inspiration from Renaissance imagery for a series of handmade collage works. Gallery Visio at the University of Missouri–St. Louis will showcase that artwork from Jan. 26 to Feb. 16.

An opening reception for “Fractured Realities” will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 26. Light refreshments will be available, and Matt Wiseman will provide music on classical guitar.

The music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is co-sponsoring the exhibit. According to its mission statement Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia “strives for the best and truest professional spirit, the mutual welfare and brotherhood of musical students, the advancement of music in America and a loyalty to the alma mater.”

Gallery Visio is the student-run gallery of the University of Missouri–St. Louis. Free and open to the public, it is committed to the exhibition of undergraduate, alumni and emerging artists’ art and activities for the purpose of study, education and enjoyment.
