MEN’S SOCCER
The UMSL men’s soccer team defeated No. 3 seed Drury University (Springfield, Mo.), 1-0 in overtime, on Sunday in quarterfinal round action of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament. Senior Thomas Mihalczo scored seven minutes and 27 seconds into the first extra period to lift the No. 6 seeded Tritons to victory. UMSL advances to Friday’s semifinals against No. 2 seed Quincy (Ill.) University. It will be the Tritons’ first semifinal appearance since 1999. The GLVC Tournament semifinals and championship game are being hosted by top-seeded Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo.

VOLLEYBALL
The UMSL volleyball team lost a pair of 3-2 road matches last weekend at Drury University and Missouri University of Science & Technology (Rolla). UMSL is now 10-15 overall, including 7-6 in the GLVC and hosts Maryville University (Town and Country, Mo.) tonight.

WOMEN’S SOCCER
The UMSL women’s soccer team ended its season with a 2-1 overtime victory against Maryville University last Wednesday. The Tritons got two goals from sophomore Liz Drennan, including the game-winner just 38 seconds into the extra period. UMSL ends its season at 4-11-2, including 4-10-1 in the GLVC.
