New Part-time Faculty Orientation

Spring Tai Chi Class Registration is Open
Date/Time: January 14, 2013
Location: 203 Mark Twain Building

Description: Registration for the Spring Tai Chi class is now open. A modified Yang/Fu-style 24 Form Tai Chi and 18 Motion Qigong will be taught. This class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 29 through March 21. There is a one-time fee for the eight-week session: $10 for UMSL students; $30 for UMSL alumni, faculty and staff; $40 for all others. Class size is limited to 20.

Economic Challenge Workshop

Audience: Open
Description: A professional development workshop for high school teachers that provides instruction on participating in the Economics Challenge, a national student competition that tests students’ knowledge and application of economics. Students compete in teams to answer questions related to microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics and current events.

Weight Watchers at Work

Ferguson Lunch Trolley

Description: The free Ferguson Lunch Trolley is back! Don’t lose your parking spot by catching a ride on the trolley to Ferguson restaurants for lunch on Wednesdays. The trolley will make four continuous loops between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sandwich board signs will be placed at trolley pickup sites. Campus pickup locations: Woods Hall (west side), MSC (east side), and Marillac Hall (main entrance). Ferguson restaurants: Celebrity Southern Soul Food; Corner Coffee House; El Palenque; Faraci Pizza; Ferguson Brewing Co.; Imo’s Pizza; KFC; Little Caesar’s Pizza; Marley’s Bar & Grill; Mimi’s Subway Bar & Grill; New Chinese Gourmet; Popeye’s Chicken; Queen’s Chinese Restaurant; Quizno’s; Subway; Vincenzo’s Italian Ristorante.
