Most Influential Business Women includes 5 UMSL alumnae

The weekly newspaper’s annual list recognizes St. Louis female business leaders representing industries ranging from finance to health care.

Five University of Missouri–St. Louis alumnae are among the Most Influential Business Women, according to the St. Louis Business Journal. The weekly newspaper’s annual list recognizes St. Louis female business leaders representing industries ranging from finance to health care.

The UMSL alumnae honorees include:

  • Rebecca Boyer, BS accounting 1997
  • Audrey Katcher, BSBA accounting 1990
  • Kelly Pollock, MPPA 2003
  • Dannelle Ward, BSBA accounting 1990
  • Lisa Yanker, BSBA 1983 and MBA 1991
Alumna Rebecca Boyer

Alumna Rebecca Boyer, BS accounting 1997

Boyer is chief financial officer and vice president of KellyMitchell, a technology consulting company. In addition to serving on UMSL’s Women’s Leadership Council, Boyer serves as co-chairman for the private sector market within the Women’s Leadership Society for United Way. She is on the board of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce and St. Martha’s Hall, a shelter for abused women and their children.

Alumna Audrey Katcher

Alumna Audrey Katcher, BSBA accounting 1990

Katcher is a business advisory services partner at RubinBrown, an accounting firm with locations in Denver, Kansas City and St. Louis. Her areas of expertise include internal audit services and service organization controls. Katcher has been honored with the UMSL Salute to Business Award and in 2011 was named a distinguished alumna.

Alumna Kelly Pollock

Alumna Kelly Pollock, MPPA 2003

Pollock has been with the Center of Creative Arts in St. Louis for 18 years, serving as executive director since 2010. The mission of COCA is to promote creativity in the St. Louis region and Pollock has helped grow the organization’s annual budget substantially.

Alumna Dannell Ward

Alumna Dannelle Ward, BSBA accounting 1990

Ward is one of the founding partners of Acropolis Investment Management, LLC, where she also serves as the company’s chief compliance officer. She is a valued financial advisor in a variety of investment areas. Ward is vice president of the St. Louis Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Alumna Lisa Yanker

Alumna Lisa Yanker, BSBA 1983 and MBA 1991

Yanker is the vice president of IBM‘s Analytics Unit for the Midwest region. She also serves as a board member for UMSL’s College of Business Administration, participates on the fundraising committee for the Professional Women’s Alliance and is a member of both IBM’s Diversity Council and its Women in Technology Organization.
