Top RN to BSN joined the growing list of websites heaping praise on the University of Missouri–St. Louis College of Nursing programs.

Last week, it joined the fray by naming the UMSL program as No. 6 in its list of  the “15 Best Online RN to BSN Nursing Schools in Missouri 2019.”Top RN to BSN ranked the UMSL College of Nursing program as No. 6 in Missouri. (Graphic by Top RN to BSN)

“The RN to BSN program gives area nurses a flexible and affordable way to advance their educations,” said Susan Dean-Baar, dean of the College of Nursing. “It prepares nurses for the increasingly complex demands of the profession and helps them provide excellent care for patients while advancing their careers.”

To determine its rankings, Top RN to BSN scored programs on cost, reputation and salary expectations. Previously, the website had deemed the UMSL program No. 35 nationally in its “50 Best Online RN to BSN Programs 2017.” Rankings sites ranging from U.S. News & World Report to NursingSchoolHub to Value Colleges have also recently rained kudos onto the college.

Top RN to BSN recognized the UMSL’s Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accreditation and focus on career readiness, leadership and communication skills. The program’s flexibility and the DNP and PhD programs offered by the College of Nursing were two other high points.

The program serves RNs with two-year degrees and prepares them for graduate-level study or leadership and management roles while qualifying them to work at magnet-status hospitals, an American Nurses Credentialing Center certification that sets criteria for superior care.
