The University of Missouri–St. Louis opened its 2013-14 season on Saturday with 57-52 victory at NCAA Division I opponent Saint Louis in its lone exhibition game. Senior transfer Alyssa Like led the UMSL Tritons with 11 points and 12 rebounds, while senior Devonna Smith had 11 points and nine rebounds. UMSL will officially tip-off its season on November 16, hosting Lindenwood at 5:30 p.m.
The University of Missouri–St. Louis bounced back from a 3-0 loss at No. 18 ranked Truman State on Friday night post a 3-0 victory at Quincy on Saturday. Senior Chelsea Burkle averaged 4.17 kills per set in the two matches to pace the offense. UMSL (9-6, 5-2 Great Lakes Valley Conference) will host Lindenwood Tuesday night in a nonconference contest before returning to the road in GLVC play, traveling to Drury on Friday night and Missouri S&T on Saturday.

The UMSL Tritons defeated Saint Joseph’s 2-0 on Friday night with goals from Jaylon Griffith and Jessica Mincher before picking up a 1-0 victory over Indianapolis on Sunday behind the game-winner from Hannah Kaloupek. The Tritons (4-2, 2-2 GLVC) return to the road this weekend, traveling to Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday and to Lewis on Sunday.
