Unable to see TritonApps apps on Mac clients

On the Microsoft Remote Desktop app on Mac clients, you may see intermittently see an empty list of applications. Restarting the client several times may resolve the issue. ITS has determined that this is due to a bug in the Microsoft Remote Desktop client for Mac, and we expect this to be fixed in a future update of the application.

UPDATE: The issue appears to be resolved in Microsoft Remote Desktop Client version 10.3.1

What to do if you are seeing troubles with TritonApps

First make sure you are using Internet Explorer on a PC. Currently other browsers (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera, etc.) are not supported and will NOT work. If you attempt to log in and do not see any programs listed and only see this line “Personal K: drives are available from within these applications. Please remember to save your work often!” then this caused by your browser not being supported.

If you are having troubles saving files then review the steps in this document: Saving files on Tritonapps

If you are still having troubles with either connecting or using any of the applications available through TritonApps then please contact the Technology Support Center at 314.516.6034 or through email at helpdesk@umsl.edu

Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio are now available through TritonApps

When you log into TritonApps (https://tritonapps.umsl.edu/) you will now find links to Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.

Microsoft Project allows you to create long-term project plans and then track milestones, manage budget, monitor resources, and analyze progress on a grand scale.  It’s great for semester-long assignments, group work, or business-related class work.

Microsoft Visio is the industry standard application for creating all kinds of charts and diagrams.  Flowcharts, organizational charts, circuitry and technical diagrams can now be made simply and professionally.

This software is available for use by anyone with an internet connection and an UMSL SSO.  TritonApps applications are conveniently tied into your K: drive so you can work from school or home without ever having to transfer files.

Give Microsoft Project a spin today and, as always, feel free to leave your feedback on the TritonApps blog at (blogs.umsl.edu/tritonapps/)
