The University of Missouri–St. Louis has snagged a ranking in a St. Louis magazine that puts out an annual “Hot List” of the 100 things to love about St. Louis.

ALIVE Magazine calls the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center the Best Performing Arts Organization in St. Louis. The Touhill was singled out for its wide variety of programming.

“Whether your particular fancy is ballet, jazz, symphony, global music or something a bit more alternative – like a spoken word ballet or improv comedy sketch – Touhill caters to fans of the stage. Period,” reads ALIVE’s glowing review of the Touhill.

The Touhill was commended for its patron services, such as allowing web visitors to choose their ideal series and its E3 program, which allows showgoers to meet after performances to review, debate and discuss.
