MEN’S BASKETBALL
The UMSL men’s basketball team defeated Lincoln University (Jefferson City, Mo.), 81-71, last Saturday in its lone game of the week. Junior Darian Cartharn led five Triton players in double figure scoring with 18 points. UMSL improved to 5-1 and will host Maryville University (Town and Country, Mo.) on Wednesday night.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The UMSL women’s basketball team picked up a pair of wins last week over fellow St. Louis area schools, defeating Missouri Baptist University (Creve Coeur, Mo.) in overtime, 73-70, last Tuesday and defeating Lindenwood University (St. Charles, Mo.) on the road Saturday, 67-62. The Tritons stand at 3-1 overall and host Maryville University on Wednesday.
