Several local and national news outlets tapped Anita Manion, assistant professor of political science, to discuss statewide elections. She offered her perspective on races for attorney general, governor and secretary of state to KCUR, KBIA, St. Louis Magazine, St. Louis Public Radio and USA Today. She also touched on Rep. Cori Bush’s primary election defeat to Wesley Bell with St. Louis Public Radio.

Susan Brownell, a Curators’ Distinguished Professor of Anthropology, spoke with PBS “News Hour” about “panda diplomacy.” The San Diego Zoo recently welcomed the first pandas to arrive in the U.S. in more than two decades. Brownell, an expert on U.S.-China relations, discussed the momentous occasion with William Brangham. Brownell, who also studies Chinese sports and the Olympic Games, commented on China’s performance in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris in Newsweek.

Ben Hochman, a columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, wrote about Succeed student Lawrence Sapp and his competitive swimming career, which led him to the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris last week.
