Freshman Tayler Hoag of the University of Missouri–St. Louis women’s golf team has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Golf Player of the Month for April, following a vote from the league’s head coaches.

Hoag opened the month with an impressive three-under par 69 at the Maryville Invitational and responded with a final round of 76 to capture the event title. She then recorded a third place finish at the UMSL Tritons’ own tournament with a 156 (81-75) and placed second at the GLVC Championship with a 148 (72-76) to earn all-league honors.

The Eden Prairie, Minn., native posted the lowest stroke average of any GLVC golfer in the spring season and helped her team to first, second and third place finishes during April. Hoag is a business administration major.
