Pain and fatigue are two major symptoms that affect cancer patients. The Mary Ann Lee Endowed Lectureship in Oncology Nursing will present “Pain and Fatigue Symptoms Impacting Cancer Patients Quality of Life: Results of a Recent Study” from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 27 in the West Pavilion Amphitheatre at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. A reception will start at 5 p.m. in Queeny Tower Room C. Another presentation of the lecture will be from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Oct. 28 in conference room 5401 in the Kingshighway Building of the Siteman Cancer Center in Barnes Jewish Hospital. A continental breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m.

Veteran oncology nurse and scholar Betty Ferrell will give the lecture. Ferrell has more than 33 years of experience in oncology nursing and is a professor and research scientist at the City of Hope Medical Center in Los Angeles. She is a fellow of American Academy of Nursing and has more than 300 publications in peer-reviewed journals and texts.
