Triton Take-Off Weekend launches Friday with New Student Move-In Day kicking off a weekend of activities ahead of the beginning of fall semester classes next Monday at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
Friday’s events include the Kick-Off Welcome event at 7 p.m. in the Century Rooms of the Millennium Student Center and the Kick-Off Meltdown, sponsored by Fraternity & Sorority Life, at 9:30 p.m.
Saturday provides Donuts with the Deans at 9 a.m., and students can also participate in “You. Me. We.,” an interactive program on racism, sexism and LGBTQ issues at 10:30 a.m. The afternoon will feature tours of academic buildings and UMSL student sessions on a wide array of topics, including hidden gems in St. Louis, learning how to overcome stress, ways to get involved and alcohol and drug safety. That all leads up to the welcome picnic at 5 p.m.
Sunday’s top activity will have students exploring St. Louis via MetroLink on a scavenger hunt beginning at 1:30 p.m., with Living Learning Community meetings and Residential Life & Housing Community meetings set for Sunday night.
