In 11 years with Johnna Murray as the faculty advisor, UMSL’s Beta Alpha Psi chapter, Gamma Psi, has been awarded Gold status 10 times and Distinguished status once.

Quilts aren’t just quaint bedding that grandmothers make. A whole new generation has adopted the art form. A series of handmade quilts will be the focus of the next exhibit in Gallery Visio at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
The next Gallery Visio exhibit at the University of Missouri–St. Louis will be a combination of vivid and dramatic portrait photographs and live art elements. “Synesthesia” is the brainchild of UMSL alumna Rebecca Haas, BFA 2010.
Students participate at the opening reception of “Workbook” in the Visio Gallery by filling in a paint by numbers mural of Georges Seurat’s “Bathers at Asnieres.” The exhibit is an interactive live art show with the walls of the gallery covered with workbook activities. Gallery Visio is a student-run gallery at UMSL. It’s located in 170 Millennium Student Center at UMSL’s North Campus. Regular hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The show, called “Multi-Cultural Expressions,” will be on display April 26 through May 16 at Gallery Visio at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. An opening reception will take place from 4 to 7p.m. April 26. Admission is free and the exhibit is open to the public.
