Men’s Soccer
The University of Missouri–St. Louis recorded a pair of road Great Lakes Valley Conference victories last weekend, defeating William Jewell, 2-1, on Friday night before garnering a 2-1 win at No. 8 ranked Rockhurst on Sunday. Sophomore Jon Huelsman scored three goals for the UMSL Tritons, including both in the upset victory over the Hawks. The Tritons (6-6, 5-5 GLVC) close out the home portion of their schedule this weekend, hosting Illinois Springfield on Friday and Southern Indiana on Sunday.
Women’s Soccer
UMSL came up short in a pair of league road games last weekend. The Tritons lost a 3-2 overtime decision at William Jewell on Friday and dropped a 1-0 verdict at Rockhurst on Sunday. Sophomores Sidney Allen and Hunter Wagoner each scored at William Jewell with sophomore Hannah Kaloupek assisting both goals. The Tritons (4-7-1, 2-7-1 GLVC) close out the home portion of their schedule this weekend, hosting Illinois Springfield on Friday and Southern Indiana on Sunday.
Volleyball
The Tritons began the week with a 3-2 win at home over Lindenwood last Tuesday before suffering a pair of losses in GLVC play on the road over the weekend. UMSL won the opening set at Drury on Friday before the Panthers fought back for the 3-1 win. Then on Saturday, the Tritons rallied back from a 2-0 deficit to force a fifth set at Missouri S&T before coming up short in the 3-2 loss. UMSL (10-8, 5-4 GLVC) begins a three-match homestand on Tuesday, hosting Missouri Baptist in nonconference play, before hosting William Jewell on Friday and Rockhurst on Saturday, in a pair of GLVC contests.
Women’s Golf
UMSL closed out the fall portion of its schedule last weekend by winning its own Oak Terrace Fall Invitational. The Tritons shot a 630, finishing seven strokes better than runner-up Lewis. Junior Bailey Hopper tied for second place individually to lead UMSL.
Men’s Golf
The Tritons are hosting the 23-team Midwest Regional at Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Mo. The two-day event runs today and tomorrow.
