University of Missouri–St. Louis junior Bailey Hopper has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Player of the Month for October, following a vote from the league’s head coaches.

Hopper, who is majoring in business administration with an emphasis in finance and a student in the Pierre Laclede Honors College, recorded a second-place finish individually in the UMSL Tritons’ lone event of the month, while helping UMSL to the team title.

Hopper shot a season-best 152 (78-74) at the Oak Terrace Fall Invitational, hosted by the Tritons on Oct. 12-13, at the Oak Terrace Resort & Spa in Pana, Ill. Her efforts helped UMSL to a team score of 630 (312-318) in the 11-team field, the Tritons’ second team title of the fall season.

This is Hopper’s first monthly honor from the conference and the second straight for the Tritons with teammate Tayler Hoag being recognized in September.
