Cello students at the University of Missouri–St. Louis will perform a range of styles, from baroque to romantic opera, during a concert at 7:30 p.m. April 29 in the E. Desmond and Mary Ann Lee Theater at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center at UMSL. The concert is free and open to the public.

The cellists will perform music composed by Johann Sebastian Bach, Benedetto Marcello, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Georges Bizet, as well as a few surprises.

Kurt Baldwin, cellist with the Arianna String Quartet, UMSL’s resident quartet, instructs the cello students.

The Touhill is on UMSL’s North Campus, One University Blvd. in St. Louis County (63121). The concert is sponsored by the Department of Music at UMSL.
