Turtle Trot 5K Walk/Run for Re-Member

Description: Prizes for 1st place finishers and highest two pledge collectors. Run starts at 10 a.m. and walk starts at 10:15 a.m. The course will follow the hiking/biking trail through the woods between the Katy Trail and the Missouri River. Re-Member seeks to improve the living conditions on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota through volunteered services and building relationships. From delivering firewood in the winter to installing outhouses for those without running water, building the first beds for many children to repairing/replacing roofs to skirting and insulating mobile homes to improve the ability to actually heat them up, or any other public service such as cleaning up the powwow grounds for the elderly, Re-Member provides much needed services, as well as friendships, and teaches their volunteers more than words can describe. Fee: $25 for adults, $15 for youths 15 and under.
