5th Annual Emerson Spring to Dance Festival

Location: Touhill Performing Arts Center

Description: This annual feast of the best in the Midwest and beyond has become a Memorial Day Weekend phenomenon. The 2012 edition returns with the same winning trifecta: 30 dance companies, three unique nights, still only $10 a night. Each evening is three shows in one! Informal interactive demonstrations will be held in the Terrace Lobby by local arts organizations from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. The evening features a performance with first-come first-served seating in the intimate Lee Theater from 6 to 7 p.m. and a reserved seat performance in the Anheuser-Busch Performance Hall from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Gypsy Caravan

Description: The Saint Louis Symphony Volunteer Association presents one of the largest antique, craft and flea markets in the Midwest in support of the St. Louis Symphony. Early Bird admission (7-9 a.m.): $20. General admission (9 a.m.-5 p.m.): $10. Children under 12 are free at all times.

New features affect Blackboard’s user interface, workflow functionality and improved grading and assessment features. This basic overview will showcase the latest features, functionality and enhancements. Mindfulness Meditation

Spring Training Institute

Using Cognos Student Reports

Description: The goal of this session is to familiarize UMSL faculty and staff with the student-oriented reports available via Cognos. Topics in this hands-on session include: signing on to Cognos; setting the default folder; an overview of the available reports; how to run reports; and where to find documentation. There will be ample time for questions and listening to suggestions for improvement. To fully participate, you will need access to Cognos. You can check your access by addressing an email to yourself in Outlook, right clicking on your name in the “To…” block, selecting “Outlook Properties”, click on the “Member Of” tab, and scroll down the list to look for either “UMSL, Cognos SR” or UMSL, Cognos SR (FERPA)”. If you see one of these entries, you have access. If you do NOT see one of these, you need to contact Diana Johnson (djohnson@umsl.edu) in the Registrar’s office and complete the required FERPA training at least 24 hours before the session.
