The University of Missouri–St. Louis is bringing old-school animation back with its latest online campaign for the master’s of business administration program.

Starting last week, four video spots began airing online on various websites and through social media outlets.

The animated videos are a nod to the graphic novel style with a throwback to early 20th-century war posters.

University Marketing and Communications wrote and developed the spots, which highlight the four main strengths of UMSL’s Professional MBA: schedule, value, quality (accredited) and networking.

UMSL partnered with local animation company Pixel Whipped to illustrate and animate each video.

“The work University Marketing and Communications put into these videos reflects the quality of the program,” said Thomas Eyssell, associate dean and director of graduate studies in the College of Business Administration at UMSL. “Our Professional MBA offers a unique, accelerated format, which means that your time will be used efficiently. Our faculty are nationally respected scholars who have published numerous articles and books in their respective fields and engage in extensive real-world consulting. The quality of our faculty – and our program – is reflected in the fact that the Professional MBA program is approaching two decades of growth and is a keystone of the partnership between UMSL and Express Scripts.

The Professional MBA is a cohort-based 23-month program requiring two days of intensive classroom time one weekend a month. That’s coupled with online course work and group projects.
