Students from the Department of Theater, Dance and Media Studies at the University of Missouri–St. Louis will share the stage with Modern American Dance Company, the resident dance company at UMSL, for the concert “Sum of Motion.” The concert will begin at 8 p.m. Nov. 11-13 in the E. Desmond and Mary Ann Lee Theater at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center. General admission tickets are $10.

“Sum of Motion” will be directed by Rob Scoggins, assistant professor of dance at UMSL, and Todd Weeks, adjunct instructor of dance at UMSL and associate artistic director of MADCO.

The students will perform dances choreographed by Scoggins, Weeks, MADCO Rehearsal Director Jennifer Reilly, R. Vance Baldwin, Gabriella Deakin and Jason Flodder. The dances will feature the music of Regina Spektor, Danny Elfman, Phillip Glass and the UMSL Percussion Ensemble.

UMSL’s dance students will be joined by guest artists Metro Dance Company, which was established in 2006 by MADCO dance artists Jennifer Reilly and Todd Weeks.
