Diogo Dias finished in first place in the 100-yard backstroke as UMSL returned to the pool for the first time in nearly a month on Saturday, competing in the Wash U Invite.

Women’s Basketball
The women’s basketball team went 0-2 in its first Great Lakes Valley Conference road trip this season. The University of Missouri–St. Louis Tritons suffered a 75-71 setback at Saint Joseph’s on Thursday night and a 64-55 loss at Indianapolis on Saturday. Depite the two losses, redshirt Jordan Fletcher had a career weekend offensively, averaging 26.5 points per game. She recorded a then career-high 22 points at Saint Joseph’s before bettering that with a new career-high 31 points at Indianapolis. She shot 76 percent from the field and also added 8.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. UMSL (6-7, 1-4 GLVC) is home this weekend, hosting Wisconsin-Parkside on Thursday and No. 9 ranked Lewis on Saturday.

Men’s Basketball
The Tritons lost both GLVC road games last weekend, falling to Saint Joseph’s, 96-85, on Thursday night and to No. 25 ranked Indianapolis, 79-68, on Saturday. Senior Brandon Marquardt had 14 points in both games, while on Saturday, junior Hunter Reine added a season-best 14 points. The Tritons (6-8, 0-5 GLVC) return home this weekend to host Wisconsin-Parkside on Thursday and Lewis on Saturday.

Men’s Swimming
UMSL returned to the pool for the first time in nearly a month on Saturday, competing in the Wash U Invite. The Tritons had one first place finish in Diogo Dias in the 100-yard backstroke, while Fernando Robledo recorded individual runner-up finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 50-yard freestyle. UMSL returns to the pool Jan. 30 in Indianapolis, Ind.
