If you missed the annual holiday jazz concert at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, you’re in luck, as KTVI (Channel 2) will air the performance on Christmas morning.

HEC-TV recorded the 90-minute program, which will air at 7 a.m. Dec. 25 on KTVI.

The University Orchestra, University Jazz Ensemble and Vocal Point performed during the “Jazz for the Holidays” concert on Dec. 2 at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center at UMSL.

The annual show has become one of the most anticipated concerts of the holiday season. It featured the combined sounds of UMSL’s Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Jim Widner, director of jazz studies; Vocal Point, conducted by Jim Henry, director of choral studies and the University Orchestra, conducted by Robert Howard.

Audiences heard holiday classics such as “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “The Christmas Song,” “Jingle Bells” and selections from “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” in addition to other holiday favorites.

The event was sponsored by the Department of Music at UMSL.
