– The St. Louis Post-Dispatch shared the news that the Whitney R. Harris World Ecology Center at UMSL will award its World Ecology Award to its longtime partners, the Missouri Botanical Garden and Saint Louis Zoo, for their work on conservation in Madagascar. The award will be presented to Garden and Zoo at the Harris Center’s annual gala on Nov. 15 in the Terrace Lobby at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center.

– Before closing his 16-year tenure leading UMSL, Chancellor Tom George stopped by St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU’s offices at UMSL at Grand Center and spoke to “St. Louis on the Air” host Sarah Fenske about his time in St. Louis and the future of the university and higher education more generally.
