UMSL’s Weeks of Welcome is designed to connect everyone in the UMSL community to the educational, cultural and social programs offered through the university.

The annual Fall Involvement Expo is a can’t-miss event for students interested in getting involved on campus. Student leaders from a variety of campus organizations will line The Commons and Millennium Student Center patio ready to answer questions and help you discover your place in the UMSL community.

Grab your goggles. It’s time for a powdered paint party on South Campus. Hosted by the Pierre Laclede Honors College Student Association, Paint-a-Palooza offers an opportunity to make a colorful mess with new and old friends on the Provincial House front lawn.

Burritos, burgers, cheesesteaks and more will be available in Visitor Lot C by the Recreation and Wellness Center. In addition to many of your favorite food trucks from around the St. Louis region, the Office of Student Involvement is also bringing in games and music for what is sure to be a delicious and joyous time.

Members from UMSL’s Greek-letter organizations are ready to chat about what it’s like to be in a fraternity or sorority at UMSL. Meet them at the Millennium Student Center patio, and they’ll be ready to answer all of the frequently asked questions about fraternity and sorority life.

Think you know Disney? Put your knowledge to the test at the University Program Board’s Late Night Bingo: Disney Edition at the Mansion Hills Clubhouse. There will be additional opportunities to play with different themes on the first Friday of each month throughout the fall semester.

The Millennium Student Center on North Campus serves as a hub for campus activity. Between snacking on free food, participants will learn about all of the resources housed within the MSC. New campus offices have transitioned into the building in recent months, so students, faculty and staff who may already know the building well are invited to come hear about the updates.
Triton Mobile Pantry – 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14

Students, faculty and staff facing food insecurity are invited to UMSL’s first Triton Mobile Pantry in Parking Lot VV on South Campus. All items are free, so just bring your TritonCard and a tote for carrying groceries.

UMSL’s reach goes far beyond its 470-acre campus. University programs spread across the St. Louis region, including Busch Stadium. Come watch the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Los Angeles Dodgers with other UMSL fans during the annual UMSL Night at the Ballpark. A $25 ticket includes admission to the game, food voucher and a UMSL Cardinals hat.

The Weeks of Welcome wouldn’t be complete without an opportunity to give back to the greater community. This year, the Student Government Association and UMSL Students of Service invite students, faculty and staff for a day of service at Good Life Growing, an urban farming company focused on combating decay and food insecurity in north St. Louis.
